Graduation Weekend: Sunday

It worked out perfectly that this day was also Mother's Day, and I got to see both my mom and my mother-in-law this year.

After church we headed over to the Penn Law School for a pre-graduation reception party they had for the graduates.  It was a fancy little reception in the law school court yard.  It was fun to talk to some of Joseph's friends and to celebrate another graduation.

After the reception we headed back to the apartment to relax and get mothers day dinner ready.  We had roasted pork loin, roasted veggies (beets, carrots, and parsnips), salad, mashed potatoes, and bread.  I of course forgot to take any pictures, so you can just imagine.  I also made a German Chocolate Cake from scratch, which is a feat for me, since lately I have been really unsuccessful in my baking attempts.

And, although this is much over due I am so grateful for the great mothers in my life.  I am grateful for the love and support of my mom and I am grateful for my mother-in-law for raising such a great son.  I am grateful for the examples of my sister and sisters-in-law, who are all truly amazing moms.

Mom's are awesome.  I am glad we get to celebrate them.
