My 27th Birthday

I turned 27 on December 1st.  It made me feel a little bit old, but also I like this mature Megan that is going on these days.  I feel more confident in myself and I feel like I am finally catching up to the person that I want to be, if that makes any sense at all.

This year Joseph was out of town on my birthday for a work trip.  He had to go to San Francisco for orientation.  Since we just moved here, and I didn't really have any friends, I was looking at hanging out by myself so Joseph, the best husband ever, flew me down to Alabama for a few days to hang out with my sister and her kids.

 We had a donut feast for breakfast.  They were delicious.

My Alabama trip was really fun.  I loved spending a couple of days with my sister and her little girls.  They are the sweetest little girls.  My sisters younger daughter Reese, called me 'Egan all week, it was adorable.  Her older daughter Avery kept drawing and coloring me pictures all week for special presents.  It was adorable.

We hit up the zoo, Birminghams Vulcan Park, got some delicious BBQ on my birthday, shopping at cute boutiques, a real southern breakfast, a hike through some rock fields.  My sister had some special Megan cupcakes made for the occasion and they were delicious.

Plus it was so warm there.  I loved it.
