Curtis Symphony

On Sunday night Joseph and I received two tickets to hear the Curtis Symphony Orchestra.

It was held in one of the big performance halls at the Kimmel Center.

The orchestra was made up of students at the Curtis school, and let me just say that these students are so good.

I forgot that it was students listening to them play.  It was remarkable.

I couldn't help but feel a little bit like an underachiever surrounded by such talented people.

When the orchestra started they opened the performance with a symphony rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.  Everyone in the audience stood up, it was really moving, and so beautiful.

I am so glad that we were able to go.

It left me fantasizing about being a professional musician.

It's not to late to learn, right?

The domed building is the Kimmel Center.  The tall white building next to it is my office building.
