Marathon Training - Week 13

Monday - YogaX
Tuesday - 2 miles on the treadmill and 20 minutes on the elliptical.  It was pouring rain all day, and I seriously dislike running on the treadmill, I could only handle 2 miles
Wednesday- 6 miles, I had planned on running 9 miles today but I guess the bad weather derailed a lot of the morning runners because there was literally no one on the trail and there was flooding along the side of the trail from all of the rain, plus it was kind of dark from the incoming rain clouds, so I didn't feel like it would be very smart or safe to run the full 9.  I had run the first two on the treadmill hoping that it would lighten up a little outside and put me on the trail a little bit later so conditions would be better, but no luck.  Oh, well there is always tomorrow.
Thursday - 3 miles run with hill repeats (I wanted to die) on the treadmill. Plus 2 miles on the elliptical with 30 second sprints.  I am working but my endurance to the mind numbing boredom that is the treadmill. By the end of this workout there were raindrop size drops of sweat flying everywhere.  It was really attractive.
Friday - REST
Saturday - 18 miles. This was long and my body was definitely feeling the pain. But we finished so I am proud of that

On a side note earlier this week they finalized the course map for the Baltimore Marathon and mile 4ish runs through the Maryland Zoo.  So, since I love zoo's this seems like it could be really cool, or potentially really lame. What if there are no animals out? Hopefully they give them some caffeine in the morning to entertain me.
