Saturday Food Excursion

Today our food excursion was an adventure that was sort of made up as we went along.  This morning after we woke up we did  a deep clean of the house, then at about 11:30 Joseph proposed that we go to Reading Terminal Market to eat at D'Nic's.  D'Nic's supposedly has the best roasted pork sandwiches in the whole world.  We have been attempting to eat there for awhile.  So we quickly got dressed and rushed out the door since Joseph had to be to a school thing at 1:00.

However, we had both forgotten what a mad house Reading Terminal Market turns into on Saturdays.  I usually only go on weekdays.  On Saturdays it is packed with people, many of whom are tourists so they don't know what they are doing and are looking all around causing serious stress to those of us who go there at least once a week.

We also needed to get some produce so I went to do that while Joseph went to get in line, and try to navigate the tourists.

Well, when he got there the line for D'Nics was SO long Joseph knew we would never make it through in time for him to get to his school thing.  The line snaked all throughout the market. It was ridiculous.  It is also the only place with such a long line - a testament to how good the sandwiches are.

So, instead Joseph settled for a reuben from Hershel's East Side Deli.  Which he swears was amazing.  I opted to not get anything since I am not a huge fan of the reuben or the other types of sandwiches that they make at this place, and we were quickly running out of time.

So today's excursion was a learning experience.
