This past weekend we went down to Virginia to spend time with the family for Easter. It was a really fun, jam-packed weekend. We got in late Friday night and stayed up late visiting with everyone. Then we were up first thing in the morning to head to the Zoo. I am always a big fan of the zoo, and would go as an adult, but it was nice to have a small child with us to use as an excuse for going.
We saw pandas, lions and other animals
Izzie got her own special roller coaster ride (Chris was spinning her stroller in circles, it was really funny)
After the Zoo we headed into Georgetown for the cupcake portion of the day. Our first stop was Sprinkles, and like always it was delicisous. We got the special Easter edition cupcake which was brown sugar praline, and it was tasty.
We all then really needed lunch so we wandered around a bit a found Georges Falafel House, it looked kind of sketchy from the outside, but the falafel was really good. I was very pleased with our lunch decision.
Then we headed further up the street to Georgetown Cupcake for comparison purposes. Unfortunately the line was really long, and according to the lady manning the line at least a 1.5 hour wait. There is no way the cupcakes are worth that.
So we headed home, with plenty of time to check out my dads new beehive that he put in the yard.
We (Joseph, Me and Sarah) went for a run, at this point it was Hot Hot Hot outside but I got a little sun on my ghostly white face so that is good.
After our run we went to visit my grandma and say Happy Easter, and then went back to the house made dinner and spent the rest of the evening relaxing.

Easter was definitely fun- glad you got a picture of Chris swinging Izzie- that was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteUmmmm the Georgetown cupcakes are definitely worth the wait! My sister and I went in the dead of August and waited for like 45 mins. It was killer hot but they are amazing. The second I'm out there again, I'll wait again. They are literally heaven on earth. Now I'm drooling, great! :( I miss you so much.
ReplyDeleteP.S. your hair is getting so long and beautiful. You look so cute.
