Flowers are Growing

So this week I have been feeling in sort of a funk, a little bit blah, which leads to a lack of creativity and wittiness and consequently a lack of blog posts.  Today though I am feeling recharged and feeling more like myself.  It was warm yesterday Joseph and I killed it on our run.  It is amazing how a good workout can change your whole perspective.

So spring has finally started to spring around these parts.  Every year when it starts to get warm it is truely a miracle, because a winter in Philadelphia is long and cold and overcast.

We have tulips blooming in the park.
We have trees blooming with white and pink flowers on all of the streets.
All of these blooming flowers have made me want flowers growing in our apartment.  So last weekend we trekked down to the Target to but some potting soil and some seeds.  First off, whoever thought up the idea of bagging up dirt and selling it, is a genius.  I mean lets be serious here, it's just dirt.
We have five different varieties currently sitting in the window sill, and yesterday we saw our first sign of life. It was a big moment for me.  There is a good chance that no flowers will grow at all but I am hoping to have flowers all summer.
And now you might be thinking to yourself, Megan those are weird things to be planting your plants in, and you would be right.  While seeds and first were in the budget pots for said plants were not really in the budget so I had to get creative with some of the things we have around the apartment, and I think it looks kind of cool.
