Weekend Fun

This Saturday was a busy day but very productive.  I woke up to my alarm at 8:00 to work on my term paper for the Policy and Economics of Health class I am in, that is due on Thursday.

I was welcomed into the morning with these guys drilling into the road.  Who knows what they were doing but it included loud drilling for a few hours.  This picture is the view from one of the windows in our front only room while I was hanging out the window.
Please notice that the sun is shining and the trees have blossomed.  This makes me happy.

After about four hours of writing, Joseph and I decided to go on a run.  We headed out to run 5 miles but the weather was so nice and we were feeling good so we ended up running 7 miles.  It felt great.  And I am happy to report that I am not even sore today, great run.  We run along the Schuylkill river trail and after about 1 mile you get out of the city and it is beautiful, with the river, crew teams practicing, there were cherry blossom trees in several shades of pink.  I wished that I had my camera.

After the run we came home and I got back to work finally completing my paper.  And Joseph got to work watching the Masters.
In case you can't tell that says 21 of 21 pages and 6,061 words. Domination. It's a childhood vaccine policy analysis, anyone interested in a good read?

We ended the night by hanging out with our friends Nate and Allison Jordan (Hi, Allison!), tasty dinner followed by a rousing game of scrabble.  I lost, not a big surprise.

Overall very successful Saturday.

  2. You are too intense for me. That is one LOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNG paper. Good work! Also congrats on the full marathon thing. That is awesome. After I get this baby out, I want to try a half again. So annoying I got like 75% through the training and then started throwing up nonstop uncontrollably so I never got to finish. Blah. I miss your face.

  3. So...this is embarrassing, but I am actually really interested in your paper! What exactly is it about? What are your thoughts on vaccines?? Enlighten me, O Wise One. I'm a paranoid parent who is constantly questioning her decisions in this particular area.

  4. so here I am commenting on Clair's blog when I see "megan", I thought, no it can't be the Megan I know, she would have told me if she had a blog...WHAT THE HECK! I'm so torn between being angry or actually reading what is going on in your life. I CAN'T wait to see you in June!!!!

  5. Shelly - I swear I told you about my blog, I feel bad I thought I had told you. Don't be angry just enjoy.

Amy - the paper really isn't that interesting, it isn't about whether vaccines are good or bad it is about policies that have been put into effect and how they have influenced the accessibility of vaccines for children.
