Cooking Skills

Last Thursday we had a Relief Society activity, it was a cooking night.  A very talkative very high energy, tiny Phillipino women in our branch was going to teach us how to make some asian food.  I was kind of excited because Asian cooking is not really one of my strong points.  I usually turn to take out when I need an Asian fix.

We started out making fried egg rolls, but my rolling skills were notably bad so I moved on to the spring rolls.  Spring rolls are much easier to make.  And I got the approval of the caterer that my spring rolls were acceptable, right before she told me she would never hire me though because I am way to slow.  I was dying, it was so funny.  This was my first time ever making spring rolls, and apparently the learning curve was a little to steep for me.

I am planning on venturing into South Philly to go to an Asian market sometime in the near future to get some ingredients.  Homemade spring rolls are so good.
