Weekend

This weekend Joseph and I went out to eat two times, because that is just how it worked out.

Friday night we wanted to get out of the house so we decided to try a newer place that we had heard about.  The Philadelphia Chutney Company.  Joseph had suggested it a few months ago but I wasn't so sure, but this Friday we gave it a try.  It did not disappoint.  It is all vegatarian Indian food, and it was tasty.  We started out with an order of Samosas (potato filled indian spcied fried goodness).  Then we each tried a Dosa, which they make out of lentils and rice it is was a large crepe-like thing.  They also serve everything with a chutney for dipping, I had tomato and Joseph had coconut, but we ended up switching half way through, because we ended up liking each other's better.

Saturday the weather was amazing.  I think part of the problem is that the weather in the winter months in Philadephia is horrible - it is cold and the sun does not shine.  Consequently, every spring I am always amazed that that we can actually have nice weather in Philadelphia.  Every spring it is a miracle that it doesn't stay cold and horrible all year, which is what you can't help but think during January.

So we both woke up in great moods, because it was 58 degrees and sunny.  Truly miraculous.  We slept in, did some laundry, went for a run along the Schuylkill river, and then decided to go out to lunch.  We had decided to go to The Marabella Meatball Company after I read about it this week on a local food blog.  They make meatball subs.  They were so good that I found myself wanting one for dinner.  We managed to control ourselves and not go back a few hours later.  After lunch we went to Reading Terminal Market to get some produce for the week, went home, and took some naps and relaxed.
The relaxing didn't last long, however, due to the last big event of the weekend - the UNC v. Duke game.  The game started at 8, but Joseph began asking me if it was 8 o'clock at 1:30.  It is always a very big event in our house.  But unless things don't go "right" it can be tense central.  In this meeting the Heels won, so that means a VERY happy husband.

It was a great weekend.
