Sunday was our last day in Koh Phi Phi. We got lucky that it was sunny all morning. After we checked out of or hotel we still had a few hours to wait before the ferry left to take us back to Ao Nang where we were staying for two more days before heading on to Cambodia.
We managed to make it all the way back without getting sea sick which makes the day so much better. Unfortunately, it had started raining again while we were on the ferry and kept raining all night (and the next day - more in that in another post).
However, despite the torrential rains Sunday will be known as "the night Joseph lost the room umbrella because he was so distracted downloading a fantasy football app."
We had gone out to find some food, and as I had mentioned previously it was raining, so we had taken along our complimentary umbrellas. Then after dinner we stopped in the lobby to use the Internet that works better than in our room, where Joseph declared he had to get this new app. Then we went back to the room. At some point during the evening, Joseph's umbrella magically disappeared (mine made it back to the room safe and sound). We think he had just left it in the lobby and the friendly hotel staff cleaned it up, and that is the story we stuck with to avoid having to pay for the lost umbrella, but really who knows.
