Saturday in Siem Reap

Since Friday got mostly ruined by the rain, we figured we should go back to the ruins one more time to try and see all of the temples of the grand loop that we had missed. But we weren't willing to go on bikes again, I was still to traumatized from the day before for that.

Instead we rented a tuk-tuk for the day. The driver drove us all around and would wait for us while we were looking around. It really worked out great this way. And of course it only rained a little bit at the end of the day, go figure. It was nice to ride in the tuk-tuk though because you could see better and you got a breeze, but you could still sit back and relax.

Saturday night we wanted to be adventurous so we headed to a restaurant where you can get what they call Cambodian BBQ. It was really good. They basically take coals and cover it with a little grill thing where you cool the meat, and some broth at the bottom where we could cook vegetables and noodles, it was delicious. We got crocodile, snake, chicken, shrimp, and beef. The snake wasn't very good, it was really tough. The crocodile was the best, it was surprisingly delicious.

Then we went for ice cream where Joseph got one of the largest ice cream sundaes around. While the waiter laughed at me because the one I ordered was "so small." We were stuffed after.
