Scooters

It has become apparent that over here people use the scooter, or what they call a motorbike, as the family car. At first we were shocked by some of the things we see on scooters but now we look for different things.

Some things we have seen:

- Three grown people and a small child on one scooter.

- Two people on a scooter and the person on the back was carrying a bike.

- An 8 year old driving, with his mother behind holding an infant.

- A man in a scooter with an entire bakery's worth of bread, probably 20 grocery bags worth, hanging off the back.

- Three people on a scooter in the rain, the person in the middle driving with the front and back person covered by their single poncho.

- Two men on a scooter, and between them, sitting like a third rider ad being held upright by the back rider, a dog.

- Three people on the scooter, a driver and two passengers. The middle passenger dressed in a hospital gown and the last rider holding up an old-school glass IV hooked up to the middle rider.
